Unfortunately there is no algae eater fish that could live to UK winters in 85g of water that I am aware of.

Best would be native Gastropods for wall algae.

I ment would both survive I'm cold or were you talking about just 1 of the fish

1 live plant? That wont fight algae. Need enough plants to A) block light from getting through to the water and sides of the vat and B) utilize enough phosphate and nitrogen so that there isn’t much available for the algae.
