Amid talk of boosters, global vaccine disparity gets sharper (msn.com)
Hello; If you plan to get a third shot, perhaps this is not a good read.

Why? None of that changes the reality of how vaccines are paid for, or supplies divvied up amongst the G7 countries that have managed to get what some may deem as more than their fair share. What part of this don't you understand? Vaccine stockpiling is not governed by the WHO.

Is there something about this that needs further explaining?

So not really practical for the general public

Actually very practical for the general public, I see many people wearing them in my travels. In fact, in many parts of the world this is almost all that one will see.
While not designed to be worn for days on end, unless soiled, or exposed to a heavy viral load, they can and are re-used by the same person. For how long is another matter, and many experts don't seem to agree. Not as ideal as a fresh one for every adventure out of the home, but a slightly/lightly used mask is typically far better than wearing nothing, and there are ways to extend their usage. See info in link below.

Can surgical masks be reused? | CTV News

What pacu mom pacu mom was describing to you, was discarding after single use, following a dental procedure. Yeah, pretty sure that you don't want to reuse those masks.

Absolutely. Remove and discard after treatment procedure or replace every hour if a procedure went long. Head covering and cuffed sleeved gown was also disposed after treatment

I can’t figure out how you reuse a disposable mask correctly. Once I take it off I want to toss it.

Where do you put a used mask when you’re not wearing it, so it doesn’t get contaminated?

Read the info in the link I provided. Hola…

I have to remind my husband to use a new mask. He welds, grinds, replaces wheel bearings, sharpens chains for his chainsaws, falls trees, moves his lifts on a trailer and then removes limbs and cuts down trees from his lift, tinkers on one his old vintage vehicles...and then many times during his day he has to run into stores/businesses to get a part for this or that. Just putting on that white KN95 mask turns it gray looking from his hands. I'm just grateful that he remembers to put on a mask. The grease, gas and grindings on his hands are probably viricidal :) (joking) I have to wear an N95 mask in his car because the grease/gas smell is so strong from the sharpened saw chains on the floor.
