Making 45k a yr selling fish

I find this really funny he said "Im the only one who can keep most of them alive" and they are fish you can find at petsmart. He just keeps tooting his own horn I agree that zebra plecos are expensive and you can make a little bit of profit if you play your cards right but your not going to make 20k from one 30 gallon tank.
Im glad fish keeping made an appearance on a popular channel and he seems to be keeping his fish well but he is definitely exaggerating

I agree with that, I’ve been to a couple fish rooms filled with thousands of them for good reason but you still have to factor in time/food/water/electricity/possible gas/ he even mentioned meds. I don’t see how 45k is even close possible out of that apartment.

I wonder what he’s making off his YouTube channel? I agree he’s not making 45 out of that apartment. I’ll send out multiple 2-300$ orders a week for basically the rest of the year and most of my fish live outside for free and there’s no way I’ll get close to that.

Haven't watched his videos in awhile. He gain some weight lol. With that said i doubt he nets in 45k. The math doesn't add up. But it's on YouTube and by vice. So gotta make it sound good for tv.

Out of curiosity what fish related channels does everyone watch? I still have 11 tanks going but honestly have been kinda out of it for awhile, hasn’t stopped them from breeding though. Sitting on about 300+ 3/4” black nasty’s at the moment/tons of cutteri and thorichthys maculipinnis.

Only channel i pay attention to at this point is our very own Mr Black Tuna which has been doing a great job!

For a starter, 45k CA isn’t quite the same as 45K US. Lol

Doubtful he is declaring any of this as income, the old “it’s only a hobby” defence. In Canada, same as US, anything sold for profit needs to be declared as income. I used to hang with some serious fish breeders, they never made anything near 45K net. Most people realize how little is made in selling fish, if they actually run a business and factor in all their costs of running that biz.

Just watched the vid, I like how Malik fired up a fat one at the end and started talking about space. lol

I also couldn't help but notice that there was no paper trail for the fish that he sold the pet store. No invoice, no receipt, from either of these vendors. Hmmmmm. Pet store folks are pretty stupid to allow cameras showing how they do cash deals. Not that this isn't common, I'm sure that it is, but it's never a good time when Revenue Canada (or the IRS) decides to get up all in your business, especially if it was because of some so called YouTube influencer.
