Hello everyone,
For everyone out there who is asking or has asked this question. Some of the opinions of others will be written below :)
But members what's your take on a full seafood diet for Larger cichlids aka Parachromis dovii, RTC, TSN, paroon shark etc?

Only one of those fish is a cichlid. Cichlids are mostly omnivores and need a varied diet. A good pellet food is a good staple and cheaper than seafood. Of course sea food is good for most predatory cichlids it does not make the best staple.

:ROFL:Sorry i should of re titled the post.
YEah but a variety of seafood is a great staple. BUT, having your fish accept pellets helps as if you run out of 1 sort of food. you can fall back/rely on the other.
plus, its a very natural diet :)

It depends. I would still use pellets with the feeding of seafood kept to several times a week. Pellets have a blend of stuff that benefit the fish just make sure to buy quality pellets with low amounts of fillers. Could a fish do well on a seafood only diet, probably but why use seafood as a staple when we have a better option. It also depends on what type of seafood you are feeding,

I think it's mostly because the more commonly available seafood people feed their fish have high levels of thiaminase, which can cause a thiamine deficiency if fed as a staple. If pellets containing vitamin B1/vitamin supplement like vitachem is included in a fishs diet you won't have a problem.
This is what I recall from reading a few of RD. RD. 's posts on this subject.

For mussels and prawns, yes, that is certainly true.
