Isla Taboga Panama via Milwaukee
Living on an island, everything one needs, need to be shipped here, so over the years, a working relationship with regular, reliable cargo guys was developed.
Matador, and his mainland crew picked up the tank in a truck and brought it to the dock.

At the dock, they loaded it onto a panga, and is now en route on Panama bay.

Congratulations on finally getting the tank! Dimensions are 183 cm(L) by 61 cm(W) by 76 cm(H), correct?

You got a bull fighter to help you transport it? That sounds a little risky, if any bulls had shown up not sure how well the glass tank would do. :grinno:

In all seriousness though looks like a nice setup. It will be exciting once you get it all setup. What are your plans for the old tank?

I just now measured, 72"L (183 cm), x 30 H (76cm) x 19.W(48cm) Turns out to be somewhere between a 175, and 180 gal tank.
Luckily the cichlids I'm looking at it to hold, top off at slightly under 12."
It's now time to drill, and set up the plumbing to the 125 gal sump.
And for the islands water plant to start working.

That is fortunate. If the cichlids you owned got much bigger, they wouldn't have the space to turn around (since fish need at least 1.5x their length in tank width to comfortably turn).

Good luck drilling and setting up the plumbing.

Glad everything worked out. You don't realize how "interesting" it is to live on a remote island until you've experienced it. I lived on Guam in the late 80's when I was in the military. Earthquakes, typhoons, electrical outages become a way of life. And if you see something you may want, better buy it cause it could be 6 months to a year before you see one again.

He would have been just fine had a bull showed up…he hired a bull fighter! That’s what they do is fight bulls, right?
