It was administrative assistant day at my wife job so she was given a flowering plant. It was beautiful but now look at it ?

Honestly that probably lasted longer than I could keep it. Plants usually don’t like me (even anubias…).
Some TLC and it should bounce back!

I hope you take better care of your fish than you do your plants Tom, lol.

It'd help if you could identify it so you can research the care guide on it. Something might be slightly off that's not allowing it to thrive. Usually it's light, temperature or feed related, but usually easy to remedy.

The tale of your wife tlindsey tlindsey getting a beautiful plant full of blossoms, and then it turning into something altogether more withered and blah, reminds me very much of an experience I had last year.

I bought an Anthurium from the local garden centre. It had the most gorgeous red flowers and deep green glossy leaves. It was the picture of health. See picture below.

Fast forward a few months and, although the plant is looking good, leaf wise, there isn't a single flower on it! And these are meant to have flowers all year round.

After a bit of research I'm beginning to understand why. Anthuriums need a good amount of light to flower successfully. Mine is in a light spot but obviously not light enough, I am going to remedy this.

My point is, at the garden centres all these plants look wonderful, but get them home and sometimes they just never seem to do as well. "Homecare" just doesn't seem to be as good as garden centre care, lol.

I'm determined to get this thing to bloom again. If I can't I'm going back to that damn garden centre asking them what their secrets are. Below, my flowering Anthurium from when I got it, and my not flowering Anthurium currently, lol.

My place last year had an anthurium that always had a flower, I watered it when I remembered and it didn't get direct light. I suspect the bigger ones may be more seasonal or demanding for a bloom

I was running low on my frozen chopped worm blocks so I raided my wormery at the bottom of the garden. The wife was out so I thought I'd dump them all on the kitchen work top ready for prepping them.......then she unexpectedly came home!!

Let's just say, it's not something I'll be repeating anytime soon. Lol.
