29 gallon wet pet cichlid ideas

So Con Solo is getting a little more comfortable each day. I was staring to get a little nervous and was second guessing if getting an adult convict was the right choice. I felt pretty terrible for the poor fish to be honest. Today though I think he made the most progress. He was coming out to eat much more confidently. He even came up to the front of the glass a few times. I just got those Pothos vines today as well that FINWIN recommended so I’ll add those when I get a chance.

My initial plan was to see how a male convict would do as a solo fish and if it would be a cool mini wet pet. Although if the convict doesn’t become more outgoing and interactive then my backup plan is to get a female as well. Trying to be patient though and give him a chance to get comfortable with me before just giving up on the mini wet pet thing. Honestly not sure what I would do with all the convict fry if I were to get a female.

Also with all the fry, you could go to your local fish club and attempt to sell them or go to a larger fish store near you

Con Solo enjoying some of his breakfast. I found he definitely likes the Omega one pellets over the Northfin. Seeing him becoming more comfortable makes me so happy. Definitely gonna have to mix in that darker substrate to darken him up a little and the extra fake plants during my next water change.
