LOL...yeah well,I must be getting a bit squeamish in my old age as I don't even want to see a worm thrown in to be eaten.I
I used to buy various feeders by the bag loads but I've gotten away from that.

What???

You mean...you don't even have a wormery???

Honestly, that's gotta be one of my new favourite words...:)

Esox, I'll try to remember to take a picture of the next bear crap we find in the yard; probably won't take long. One look at that and you will never complain when one of your local hedgehogs or dormice or other weird little British critters takes a dump on your porch...:)

Nope no wormery at this time.I did sort of have one years ago in the form of a plank of wood on the ground out back.....when I needed some live fish treats I merely lifted the plank and grabbed a handful of worms.

Not sure that qualifies as an actual wormery...sounds more like a casual wormeteria...

I won't argue with that.Btw I was sitting on my porch this morning enjoying the quiet and I spotted a groundhog poking around in my neighbor's yard across the street.

Don't confuse the issue for god's sake, lol. Myself and krich can't seem to get our heads round each others usage of the words, vestibule and porch. We've discussed it in great depth in an old thread, and we both came out if it scratching our heads none the wiser, lol.

Alright.....it was my roofed deck!

I bet that plank of wood you had lying on the ground that doubled up as a, err...wormeteria, was a bit of leftover scrap from your decking wasn't it? Very resourceful krich, I like it, lol.

Oh, I get it now...you mean your portico...

Back in Ontario I tried keeping a tank on my veranda, but my wife insisted we move it onto the terrace. I miss that place.

I'm doing a few home improvements on my place nowadays and intend to put in a patio. We'll definitely have a "summer tank" out there. If the sunlight causes too many algae problems, I'll increase the shade by converting the area into a colonnade. :)
