Love the look, can I ask where you got them? I'm hoping online so I can check out the info. on them. Scientific name and catch location if possible? I imagine you're asking about the high yellow, black freckled individual. Reminds me of my old O which I've been looking to get for ages. If it is like my Old O here's a pic of a 10 inch individual. As stated above. Anyone knows how they will look like when adult?

Can I ask the name of the LFS as they may have an online shop? Can I ask what they were called when you bought them? Crassipinnis? Orbicularis? Mikolji, 'Rio Orinoco', Colombia, Peru? My apologies for the question. It is just a species I have been after for awhile and haven't been able to find.very good and interesting looking oscar, as about mine just at lfs
The markings are so beautiful. Is that what they called Orinico oscar? is the Orinico oscar and Mikolji the same? Im so confuse.Love the look, can I ask where you got them? I wish I could tell you as I don't know and have been looking for their like since I made the mistake of selling them. I bought the pair from a local pet store and he knew nothing about them simply calling them chocolate Oscars because in his tank they were a dull brown. Within a day or two in my tank they took on the coloration pictured. I went back to him and again he had no info. he didn't know if they were wild caught or captive bred or anything about them. The markings are so beautiful. You are lucky to find them in your local store they are also rare like bumblebees and based on the body pattern it is Orinoco. Im really confuse between Orinoco and Mikolji because I have seen Mikolji pics they have different line pattern I guess both Orinoco and Mikolji came from Orinoco but they are different. This picture that I attached is tag as Orinoco and has the same line pattern with your oscar. I hope to have them too. Happy fish keeping (sorry about my grammar)I wish I could tell you as I don't know and have been looking for their like since I made the mistake of selling them. I'm also unsure if the Orinoco and Mikolji are the same or different species. I haven't kept up on all the different Oscars. I know that the Mikolji comes from the Orinoco river but I don't know if they're a distinct species from what has been sold as Orinoco previously or if this is them just getting a scientific classification rather than being reffered to very generally as Orinoco. HopefullyKevin@TUIC will chime in and help bring some clarification on the matter.
