I stripped these fry a couple weeks ago and put them in an egg tumbler. They're now free swimming within the flow of the tumbler. I see them shooting up within the tumbler to grab bbs or any food that passes through the intake sponge. When is it best to remove frontosa fry from the tumbler? They'll have a small tank of their own when I do...

And then I have some Mesoheros festae fry if anyone wants some, lol!

Great advice Milingu Milingu !
What strain of cypho's are they?
These are gibberosa "Moba". Its the first spawn for this female and I stripped 9 fry. I'll probably let her keep the next spawn. One of the other females had 9 her first spawn when I let her raise them, then 11 her second spawn.

Nice mate. I love Blue Zaire variants. I had a group of Mikula but lost most in a power outage whilst I was visiting my parents in Australia.
This is my lonely male 🤗

I like Zaire variants as they stay blue all the way to adulthood. Mbambwe and Burundi develop more massive hump, but they tend to lose the blueness and barring in adult, and some turn pitch black. Here is my lone 10 year old Zaire Twembwe that looks like yours. Seriously, I don’t know if it is a male or female. Mine is 11 inch. How old and big are yours.
This is my wild colony

And here's their first spawn...

Look like yours are juvenile or subadult. How big are they. I’m surprised they are already breeding as male Front don’t reach sexual maturity untill 3.
