The best of the East, Central and the Northwest
Trienta y Tres, Melo, Tacuarembo, Rincon de Pachero, Mercedo, Artigas, Belle Union, Constitution and Yi. Trip is all inclusive except beer and airfare. All food, lodging, in country travel, collecting and export permits, plus the best guide in the business, Felipe Cantera. www.aqvaterra.com. Price will depend on how many go, $1800 to $2200. 10 people max, I have 4 already committed

going to be sending deposits down to Felipe by the end of August to pay for our collecting and export permits
 
Hi, im curious about the ID of the 2nd fish pictured in the last post. I re-attached the picture to this reply. What type of cichlid is this?

Sorry for the derailment of the thread but if I don't find out what type of fish that is its going to bother me lol. Sounds like a really fun collecting trip, should be a blast!

Gymnogophagus sp Cuariem, The Rio Cuariem in the northwest border between Uruguay and Brazil, one of my favorite collecting spots, we will be there in October
 
Thank you for the cichlid ID, I've been wanting some eartheaters and I think I've just found the right species :)
