A mix of moss, turf algae , growing on poly floss I neglected to clean, as I was sick.

Lighting is 2700k cfl.

The Hob is only used for circulation, actual bio filter is a ffluidized sand filter, and an 30 watt, algea scrubber.

Smear algae on corse filter material. Pre filter off my old diesle air filter.

Watch it grow.

If it works, I will let you know. The moss is a terrestrial variety, that I scraped wood, in my backyard. It has been growing for over 18 months, submerged.

The turf algae came from a local headwater creek.

Most of it was not planned. I am cultivating what comes in my local creeks.
Red beard, fine green hair, green turf, moss. The red beard mostly grows in the algae scrubber.
It all burns up nitrates, and feeds the cichlids except they won't eat the, moss, or the turf.

Green hair algae, is like a " cichlid". With uncountable variety.
Turf algea, is very touph, and fiberous. I had to import it from a creek deliberately. It is not slipery. It grows 18" long.

This is some that has been growing for 6 months. None of it has attached to glass. It seams too need pourus material to grow. Or just suspension in water, it will grow out of the water also.
