Let me preface this by saying thia is my first sump.

As the title states, the pump would be in a 40g breeder (biggest I can fit under current stand) and needs to reach about 5' leaving it at about 600gph with a turnover rate of approx 3-3.33 times per hour. The sump will also contain a refugium in addition to bio media and mechanical filtration.

Is this enough to keep a pair of jaguar cichlids? Having used canister filters in the past the turnover rate here seems a bit low.

Again, first sump so going into this a little unsure. Thanks for any info.

Jebao is a knock off of the waveline. I have the dc12000 under my 180 and it works just fine.

Edit: actually I have one under my 125 too. It's a great silent pump. And at 115-125$ pretty cheap too.

I like them too i have 4 dct 12000's and i 8000 or 6000 that i dont use. Last week i used the smaller pump to drain a huge hole in the lot next to my house figured the thing would break with all the mud and gunk...nope worked just fine
