Pair or not?

I've got my doubts, but they're still relatively small. Comments appreciated.

Still small, but does look like a male and female thus far at least.

No guarantee that they will pair, but there stands a pretty good chance!

Yes, that's my thinking. The one on the right has the blue in the midlateral spot which is a female characteristic. As they get older, the dorsal fin extensions should show up on the male.

Exactly. The presence of blue speckles seems to be a more reliable indicator of female than a lack of dorsal spines at that size.

Yes, though the line bred German blues were bred for more blue so sometimes that trait isn't always correct.

In the pic also notice the female blushing pink.
