Local or regional fish/aquarium clubs are a good place. I got a Marineland 250 DD off craigslist for $400, but the owner only listed it after there were no takers in his reef club. Most people don't want to deal with CL when selling a large tank. There are too many people willing to waste their time.

my 310 came off craigslist Pittsburgh for 350 bucks. just look hard, ask every post that doesn't have gallonage or price up, mine came from a 3 line ad about having a fish tank for sale. No size or price at all

600 for 1k on Craigslist.... plus airfare and uhaul, widen your search to about a 1 day drive.

How about dying Facebook Marketplace. Just got a complete 65 gallon setup with 4 fish and all supplies for free. The people were moving and just wanted it out. Good luck.
