That make sense as my waveline is the same. The pumps looked identical, but different power supply.

I've never had any problem with Jaeger heaters--they're all I buy--(knock on wood)

Thanks for talking some sense in to me guys ragin_cajun ragin_cajun Fish Tank Travis Fish Tank Travis JK47 JK47 . I did forget the fact that I will want to see in to the sump for fish some day so that makes a lot of sense. Ill contine my search for some sort of tank hopefully something acrylic will pop up. if not glass it is

But to keep everyone updated on the pump situation the company from Amazon named (aquas) is shipping me a brand new pump and I get to keep the other questionable one. So I will have 3 pumps now.

Heaters are next which I am still up in the air about brands.

Then on to plumbing!
I would really recommend just going with two or three AquaTop 300W heaters that are controlled with a controller. I have been using only AquaTop's and they have been working very well for me. Their thermostats are pretty accurate and they do a good job heating. You can get them for less than $20 on Amazon.

I use an InkBird controller that is hooked up to two AquaTop 300W heaters on my 220. I also use a 200W on my 29, a 75W on my son's 10, and a 300W in my 55gal water change barrel. Each of the tanks also has an InkBird controller as a backup. My 55gal water change barrel can bring the temp up from about 50* to 80* in less than 12 hours. I (knock on wood) have not had any issues with any of my AquaTop heaters, and I've had one of them for over two years.

I'll look at both the eheim and aquatop. I know the eheims are about $31 will check out the aquatop that Travis suggested. Haven't looked at them yet.

So in regards to sumps I've been looking all over. A lot of over priced junk on Craigslist. I did see this though and I'm wondering if I could modify it to my setup without breaking it? It's 100 gallons. 52x22x20

Idk i might just wait for a 125 gal the sump could be a project all in its own. Would change your plans on plumbing and would need to figure out where to stick the 4 sock holders

In my opinion, when you are using a good controller, it's ok to use some cheaper heaters because you have the redundancy of the heater's internal thermostat and the thermostat on the controller that would both have to fail at the same time to cause problems. In addition, I have seen a lot of threads about the more expensive heaters being just as unreliable as the cheaper ones, so why pay more for them?

Heater redundancy is a good idea like what others have said. I may do that in the future too. Having said this, the dual titanium heaters with my Ranco have been good and no thermostat on heaters to go bad.

OP, did you see the thread about the 125 setup at Petsmart for $350. Not a bad deal for a brand new 125, and it also includes the stand and light.
