Aquascape "Twin island" is the 3rd layout in the big 7 footer at home. A classical strain of discus blue turquoise along with rummy nose ramarezi corydorus and ottos make up the fish list. Java ferns annubias coffefolia and cryptocryne wenditti are the plants used. Was totally inspired by Jeffrey Senske 's tank with blue diamond discus he had setup a while back. My first attempt was terrible so went in other directions for a couple of years with this tank and reattempted this scape after a little more experience
Would love to know what you all think!

I think that looks fantastic! I really like the open bottom with the "twin islands" as you call them. It is a very interesting way to do the scape. I might have to steal that idea if I ever convert my 220 into a planted tank.

Beautiful! I personally would have a carpet where you have sand to hide and make use of the fish wastes. Then it wouldn't be call "Twin Islands" would it?...cheers!

Thank you all. This is essentially a low tech tank hence a carpet is out of the question!
plus the discus need open spaces to feed.
