So my house filter now takes care of iron and sulfur but spikes my ph to 11.
I want to install a drip system
I will dripping 50 gallons per day at least.
Should I do RO or. What?

You sure about that pH value? What is going on with your house filter?

I'd definitely replace that filter...a filter by definition removes unwanted substances, not adds them! The only way your pH is spiking to 11 is if an alkaline substance is being released into the system.

Also, dripping 50 gpd of ro water would not be a very practical thing...even a really good ro unit will waste 4 gallons for every one gallon of pure water. I actually quite using ro and got my fish used to my high pH tap. Every one is doing great...discus included. Eggs still hatch successfully even with 7.8 pH and hard water

It uses air injection to oxidize iron and a media bed that is supposed to not affect chemistry it is katalox lite. I am on a well

Wow! That's a high tech unit. I'll have to look into that set up to get a better understanding of how it works. Maybe you can set up a large holding tank to age water. Might drop the pH?

300 gallons per week for water change so I got this unit to set up my drip system. I am going to get my own ph meter since my API kit only goes to 8.8
Any suggestions for a good one?

I'll look at mine when I get home later. Can't remember what brand it is. Be sure to calibrate your meter often. They go out of whack really fast. I don't even check my pH anymore!
