I figured i could track they're progress while getting input and advice from you guys along the way.

The tank (75 gal) was being used to grow out some heterospilus but i cut the numbers doen to two. Occupants are 2 vieja heterospilus, 1 sen, 1 spotted raph ( had it for close to 4 yrs and its probably less than 4 inches) 3x jaguar cats. Hopefully the vulture and juruense will be arriving today.

Im a little intimidated by the juru so hopefully i correctly applied the info you guys have been giving me.

The plan is to get them settled for a couple of weeks give them a parasite gaurd treatment then move all to a 15p gal and eventually a 300ish.

All looks wonderful to me but I suck at keeping jags alive for longer than a few years. So, take advice from those who are really successful.

I am a bit surprised they are not in the coconut thing, perhaps it's too roomy and they can't wedge themselves in there yet.

Im more worried about the juru. Look like theres enough flow and o2 ?

My jag is a few years old. Not sure I do anything special with it. It definitely picks up leftovers from the polys and trachy.

Could always add a small pump for the bottom just for flow. They do like the current. Maybe C Chicxulub can give some advice on that.

Vulture and juru just got here. Floating the bags now.

Jurs like lots of do2, very clean water and laminar flow (link). The laminar flow is important for these fish. They're ambush hunters, and they like to prop up on their pelvic fins pointing into the current waiting for food to be washed by. The flow doesn't need to be violent by any means, just a steady, calm non-turbulent flow. It'll really help the fish keep calm. If you provide a hide that's near to it's favored perch, the fish will be very happy and secure.

Your Trachy leaves left overs!? I wish... lol. I have to feed heavily in two different spots because of mine and when she's done with hers she goes to the other spot.

Tank looks good to me, so does the new additions, looking forward to the turn out of all these guys.

Thx for the explanation man. I may need to tweek the flow then as it looks pretty turbulent

Man the jur spazzed out at 1st but settled down aftertwards.

Doesnt look to happy though lol
