J jaws7777 thanks man! Means a lot coming from you.

Just wait though, got around 20 stems of Jungle val and some nice leafy swords to add in. Working on getting a slim 3D background as well but can't find one I like. Once the plants are in I'll post up a video of the tank with the thunderstorm going. Found a storm soundtrack I can play through the room speakers that matches up pretty well with the satellite+ thunderstorm setting. It's epic if I dare say so myself.
Sounds awesome you "plant" people are really enticing me. Im more than likely getting another tank thinking about going 6 inches wider just for the polys (pearsei and cats will have the current 300) im gonna lean on you and magpie magpie to help me decorate it.

Great tank - love the video of the crew. The dat and gar are gorgeous. And how could I forget about your little flounder in there? :) I am so surprised he doesn't go for a poly tail every once in awhile.

The flounder is happy to hear that you didn't see him. ;)

He posted a video of it grabbing a live fish one day and I was totally mesmerized.

Probably the Poly section
J jaws7777 do it!!!! planted tanks are so much fun! you get to see so many different behaviors from your fish too.

Ive got a few more videos ill have posted up from this feeding later today, had to download some software to rotate them and try to lighten them up first. The flounder goes for poly fins every now and then, one of the other videos he snaps at a delhezi right at the start. hes a sneaky little beast. If i can find another one of this species i will definitely be picking it up.

Here's the rest of the feeding videos, had to split into part 1 and part 2 because I gave up on combining them into one. Enjoy!

J jaws7777 there's a few species of true freshwater flounder out there. Mine is Catathyridium jenynsii one of the larger South American species. Super fun fish!
