They ate all 30 black neon tetras 1,5" during 3 days and nights, than killed 2 Messonauta 2,5". I had to move rest of Mesonauta away. Now I have them with 6 Satanoperca mapiritensis 5" and 1 Panaque L204 6".

I feed them with fish meet, glass worms and adult artemia. Today I will try feeding them with small frozen fish from local hypermarket.

IMO you are feeding to much to fast (very high protein, no green and you will upset your filter).
Give them a day or two to digest the food and start them on pellets as soon as possible.
Mine eat peas......

I feed them 4 days in week, other days I feed only Satanoperca with pellets. Crenicichlas are hunters, they are carnivorous. I have no plans to feed them with vegetable foods or learning them to eat dried food. Luckily mine zebrina eat chopped small fish without any problems. I plan to buy them frozen mussel meat and frozen shrimps in hypermarket.
I have big external biological filter. It is made from 20 gallon tank and inside is 10 gallon of filtration materials (8 gallons of polyurethane foam and 2 gallons of Eheim substrat pro). And small internal mechanical filter to clean dirt Satanoperca make during sifting. I change 50% of water weekly and I have a lot of floating plants. I had no problems with water quality so far.

You are doing a great job with the zebrinas and your eartheaters, tank looking good.Very great filtration and water change, think the wc.and filtration are a must to have big pikes in good shape..Follow your tread ,very nice work.
