Is this a texas or jack Dempsey cichlid

How big is this fish? Doesn't look JD at all to me, looks like a Texas. Maybe caprintis.

Now that I'm looking at pics of it. Kind of does looks like a Texas. Their were 3 in the tank that someone brought in. The other one in the Tank was definitely a texas from looking at pics online.

I got this pic from the web. This is exactly what the other fish looked like that came in with the one I took. They were trying to say it was an electric blue jack dempsey.

Consider it a hybrid, because it most likely is. So either love it for what it is, or take it back & ask for a refund.

seems to shout hybrid to me. I'm not a massive lover of hybrids but this could grow to be a very attractive fish

Well I like it. I like Dempsey's and I like the texas Cichlids also. So if it's a hybrid that's fine with me. It will be a solo fish so it can have this 55 pretty much to itself.
