Some of My Cichlids from My Past

I am going to be posting some of the photos of the fish I have kept in the past. I just found all my archived images so why not share them with all of you? Back then I actually had a digital camera so the pictures are great. I will be getting one soon for present day.
I figured I'll start with the cichlids I've kept in the past.
As you can see, I LOVE South American cichlids. Some of them I raised from young, others were purchased at a medium to large size.
The Oscars and Marble Angelfish were fish I grew out (have pics of them).
The Wild caught Peru Scalare Angelfish and the Leopaldi angelfish I got at 3'' each and grew them out.
Uaru was purchased at 4'' if I remember correctly, the Cincta Pike was purchased at that size. MAN, he was a SHOW PIECE...... I kept him for a good nine months, but then he decided to jump out and land right into a empty dry tank........ poor guy jumped at night. He was a laid back relaxed cincta pike and was fine with tank mates but still jumped.
I can't remember the rest.

Do you have something against clear water?
The pictures look fine, nothing wrong with the water there.
It's a fish tank...... water isn't going to be crystal clear.... it's not drinking or bathing water. Of course with fish in it, it ain't gonna be crystal clear, sure when you cycle it or do huge water changes it will be.
Some of the best fish keeper's I've met don't have crystal clear water... they have clean looking water like mine.

Wut lol. Have you’ve seen the majority of tanks on here? Most are crystal clear. Do water changes and water never gets cloudy.

Wow, are you guys serious right now? I don't see anything wrong with the water from the pics that I posted, but maybe my eyes are worse than yours.
Judging the color of the water does not mean the fish aren't healthy. In the wild, fish live in all kinds of water.
But nonetheless, I must say your fish look nice.

True and I do do water changes. Some times, I take pictures with water on the glass, and stuff because I am lazy sometimes.

I know this member tends to make bad stocking decisions, and somehow I doubt the tank posted above was large enough for the inhabitants (could be wrong, just a guess ;) )
But it's hard to tell if the water is clear or not in what looks like warm tone incandescent lighting, plus sorry to say it alex but the pics are not the greatest.
I wouldn't flame him based on something like that personally. Fish don't look unhealthy to me.

Well, I can say that I am not the first person to stock my tanks with the fish I like nor will I be the last. After all this is a hobby as it is called an aquarium hobby so some people will do things a bit differently. Sure, to same they may see it as being cruel, irresponsible, what ever and ever, but I take great care of my fish, they get lots of water changes and good quality foods. I feed them twice a day and do water changes every other day.
Knock on wood, I have NOT lost any fish yet. The only ones I did lose were eaten.
As I mentioned before I will be getting a bigger aquarium whenever I can.
Trust me when I tell you, I know how big my fish will get. I have already rehomed some of my fish. The pacu, oscar, and clown knife and the spotted metynnis have gone to a good home. I am thinking about just keeping the myleus, my geos, my chocolate, my severum, the royal pleco, and the lima with a few angelfish in a 125 gallon or so. I also over filter every aquarium I have, I do triple the amount of filteration per gallons.
That's why I get so defensive when people try to condescend me or belittle or bring me down or be passive aggressive. I HATE it when fish keepers do that to people, it's a hobby let people enjoy it and learn about fish instead of putting them down. Some people will leave the hobby because of people like that and it will leave a bad taste in their mouth's on the fish keeping hobby.
I often say that the fish hobby can sometimes be one of the controversial and hypocritical hobby, but I still love it and enjoy it.
I am NO photographer and sure sometimes I do take ****ty pictures because I use my smartphone, but I am getting a good digital camera in a few weeks so I hope that changes. I am looking up ways to take better pictures.
Thank you for being by my side, I love fish keepers like you.<3 :)
