This is a video of Vitor of Santarem Discus with Black Diamond stingrays.
So this is what a pure BD looks like?
Purity is definitely a beautiful thing in its own special way.

Those are truly nice BD’s rays. I noticed so much variation in them and how not all of them fall under the proposed “BD traits” if they were captivate bred some people would claims some of them are not BD. I think it just goes to show the variation found even in the San Felix area. As well as proving the supposed guaranteed traits are not 100% correct and only discribe certain individuals.

See this thread of original BD imported from Soa Felix by H2O (Mike Maranda). The Original importer of BD into US back in the day. And these are just some he imported and shipped all over the world.

Pretty good example of how to disprove that all "pure" BD have white spots. Almost none of the adults in the video showed white spots. And almost none of them have big solid spots. They are mostly all eclipsed.

The Hen blood has cleaned them up and stablized the roundness of tbe spots. :-D
