Daily feeding?

now that I know what to feed my altuvie I am getting mixed reviews on other facebook forums on the time of feedings anywhere from everyother day to once a week I need you pros to help me out and tell me the truth because I want a healthy fish and I don't want to starve him he is about 2 and a half inches any help is appreciated,thanks.

that's what I thought I'm on this other group being told not to feed every other week but I do feed shrimp 1 day and tilapia the next

When the Piranha matures then you can maybe feed every other day but it's your choice and your Piranha. Personally I would never let any specie of fish go a week without eating.

Yes wild Piranha probably don't eat anything everyday but not finding something to scavenge off before a week is hard for me to believe. I knew people yrs ago who did not feed for a week for the aggression factor like you stated.

well he has grown from1.5" to roughly 3" in a month eating everyday but I know that he will reach a certain point and slow down

I had 15 RBP as Juveniles. 1 inch. Fed them 3 times a day. More tank cleaning but they grew incredibly fast. I have a 6 inch Rhombeus now. Feed him once a day. Do what you feel is best.

I feed my 2 1/2 year old, 6" irritans every 2 or 3 days, alternating tilapia, shrimp or earthworms/nightcrawlers. Water quality is good, tank is heavily planted, fish is doing fine.
