Hi, new to the site.

I have owned an African lungfish (Oscar) for around 8 years. Came downstairs yesterday to find him floating across the top of his tank. Look and thought to be dead.
As my husband was digging a hole in the garden I tried to scoop him out and he began to wriggle. He looked like he was trying to swim down but couldnt.
Left him to see what would happen and now he's floating vertically with his head down. Wriggling still. Pretty sure he's not long left in this world but thought I'd check to see if anyone has any miraculous information that I can't find?
Thanks in advance!

Lower the water level and add some epsom salt 1tbsp per 5g, one time dose. Can try some maracyn2 or kanamycin and hope for the best.

Could be swim bladder/lung damage maybe? try the meds suggested above and watch the water quality tightly
