That is a great tank mate, cleaning parasites out of that bichirs mouth. But it cleans out the stomach next.
Small Ornates are perhaps the most beautiful of polys, unfortunately the patterns tend to fad and merge. As seen above their appetites can be "aggressive"
they tend to be the biggest a-holes of the upperjaw world but that being said of the 2 I've had only 1 was a jerk
I think that assertion can be challenged by the bigger a-hole, the teugelsi. But I digress, as everyone else has said, ornates’ markings tend to lighten as they grow. Let us know if u do decide to get one!
