I have around a 10in black devil wyckii, and I have a structure built out of rock a driftwood for a place to hide.and he doesn't come out hardly ever, could this after a period result in a possible skin fungus or parasite??

Why would him hiding result in him getting sick? Fish claim a territory and remain there. He likely comes out at night. If your ever up after all the lights are out go back with a candle or dim flash light and you'll likely see him swimming everywhere. Wyckii are nocturnal for the most part, usually only coming out for food.

Nope. Fungus is a plant, fish "fungus" is a protozoan, and parasites are organisms. They aren't created by rocks or driftwood.

As moe214 moe214 said, that behavior is normal for many fish, especially when they are not full grown or are new to a tank.

Welcome to the MFK!

What makes you think your fish has fungus or a parasite?

There is no causal relationship between hiding and getting ill.
