Those trops look like they are growing! How is the Cuban eating now?

The two tropicals waiting for lunch

he’s doing ok. He’s super skiddish. I’ve never seen the other two act in any aggression with him, but he definitely sticks to himself and seems timid. I usually wait till He’s hanging out in a corner and feed the two tropicals and then drop some freeze dried shrimp in his corner. He gobbles them up. But drops to the bottom of the others come over for scraps.

I think when the large tank is ready I’ll keep him isolated in this tank to bulk him up before making his move.

Anyone have opinions on that plan?

From what I heard that's what I would do. They seem to be timid eaters I have trouble competing for food. No personal experiene just research. Hopefully if all goes well I can give you my opinion After friday on personal experience. Thanks for the update please keep them coming.

Bought a big container of red river shrimp. The Cuban has been really receptive to them. He’s even been out competing the smaller of the two tropicals. Besides live feeders, the only other things he’s eating is freeze dried shrimp/krill. I’m going to start trying meal worms too. Then maybe floating sticks again if he gets into the worms since they’re similar shapes.

Here’s A few photo updates. Sorry for all the water spots. I am picking up my new 84x36x25 tank for them this week! Putting a few seeded fx6’s on with the additional new filters so hope to have a quick cycle and then move them over.

Cubans looking on point. Great job!!!
thanks. From taking a few years off from the hobby, they’ve definitely kept me on my toes and polished me up some. Still always tons to learn and do better. Hopefully once the large tank is cycled and ready it will be a little more smooth sailing from here on out. Or at least for a while haha
