This turtle is my cousins first turtle and we are a bit worried about the coloration on his shell now
I’m not sure if it’s fungus or lack of calcium

Here some pics any advice would help

He’s in a 250 gallon tank with no direct sunlight

At least 8 hours of light a day,and since he is in aquatic setup use a longer light (most lights that use uvb will be fine)

I wish maybe one day I can have an outdoor pond
You could just get a 300 gallon rubbermaid stock tank, and set it out beside your house. This would be realitively easy to cover against preadators, and heat when it is cool out. Maybe your turtle is deficient on calcium, or some vitamin. You could try fortifying its food as well.
