through all the commotion of finding that 535 and getting heavy into research on repairing acrylic, learning about plumbing, sump equipment like pumps, foams, media...and moving back to California, buying a home, selling a home, and starting a new job, I haven’t posted anything about the 280 I picked up from Dragon Hunter Dragon Hunter .

It’s a complete turn key setup complete with steel stand, k1 sump, and all the fixings. Special thanks to Dragon Hunter Dragon Hunter even more for holding the tank for a couple months while I was getting situated, keeping the cycle going, and welcoming me back to Cali MFK style and teaching me the plumbing basics! Shout out to bassmasterp bassmasterp for helping us move the tank to my place and welcoming me to the local community.

The tank measure 80x34x24 with a 100 gallon sump. I already bought the stock for it which is being held by the vendors. Great dudes being patient with me while I set up. The plan is to continue with my SA focus of the last few years. I have six crenicichla multispinosa on hold for this tank along with a pair of cichla intermedia.

Here are some pics of it cycling some more with some feeders. I’m hoping I could be ready for my fish in two weeks.

Spent the whole day installing shelving and cabinets. Had to move the 535 in front of this tank until the ceiling rack is in place. Look how small the 280 looks next to the 535 covered in the movers blanket.

Thank you Gents. I will definitely post pics. I’ll be adding wood soon to this setup after I do some minor novus polishing to it.

Decided tonight will be the night I scape the tank. I still need to add a bag of sand to get a deeper bed. Took me several hours of playing with the driftwood but I think I got it where I want it. Want to keep a lot of swimming room so I stacked the wood high and didn’t put too many pieces jutting out.

Let me know what you think.
