Also do note, I have always, and will continue to, take entries through the month and then post the contest either at the end of the month in question or shortly after it ends. This is apparently a source of confusion.

Sorry for my ignorance but what is the sp in photo #1.
Would it be too much to ask to include genus and species so we can dive into research on species we may have overlooked or never seen so well represented?

I believe they are filament barbs
