Male peacock gudgeon dying?

im trying to breed peacock gudgeons and my only male who hasn’t yet reached maturity died. I picked him up and he started to move a bit so I put him in a jar with a bubbler where he’s been for the past 12 hours and he is still alive, but barely, any way I can save him?

Got photos? In my experience when a fish stops moving and lies down weakly it doesn't usually pull through

ITs not very good, he looks fine but he can’t swim and just moves his fins and gills. I really need him though, he is the only male I have, should I try adding him back into my community tank? Maybe he was stressed from the pressure of breeding?

Breeding stress won't cause that. Maybe a secondary cause though.

I keep fish like this in a net in the main tank, so they're supported but have the stable water conditions

ok thanks, should I have them in the bubbler or no? note I had them in a separate tank for breeding, they came from the 29 gallon but I got a bin and kept them in there to breed them, so should i put him in the bin or should i put him in the 29? note I'd have to acclimate him to the 29 gallon which may be a bit stressful for him.

Never ever do it with just money in mind. Remember, to make any money you must compete with wholesale. That means fish 1/3 or a 1/4 of what you see in shops, and the local market is only so big. Maybe an LFS will take them from you but it'd be difficult to make it profitable.

To open a fish store I'd say start studying some marketing, business and everything you'll need. If you know that securing capital will be easier and it could be better to start

Believe me, if you're 14 it'd be better to just sit and enjoy the hobby! I'm a tad older and I just sell odds and ends (usually plants) to help save for this or that. Too much business and it isn't as much fun. Good luck in your ventures
