What are some of the more affordable, most-reliable heaters on the market these days? I still have my Ebo-Jagers, because I am old and those never die. But I need more heaters now for my 125g. What would YOU buy, and why? I'll check your suggestions for Amazon reviews, etc, too. Thanks.

Aqueon, aquatop, and viaqua are all budget heaters but remember my father's wise words

I had better luck with via aqua than eheim and Aqueon. Two failed Aqueon and 3 failed eheim. Via aqua works fine but you can use fluval e if you want to shell out big $.

Personally I like aqueon pros. They take a beating, but I did have one electrify a tank. Sand got in the top and seized it up

+1 for a heater controller, doesn't matter then what brand you have but its a fail safe it the thermostat fails

And you can DYI them to keep costs down if you are somewhat handy with the tools
