Would a jack and a bichir be okay? I would be worried the bichir would be to small as it's just a baby.Yes absolutely

55g two oscars and a pikeI personally wouldn't put anything in that aquarium the Jack Dempsey would stress the Poly out. Maybe in a larger aquarium. What all do you have in the aquarium?
55g two oscars and a pike
30g 6 needle nose gar 1 jack
10g feeders
10g baby jack and baby bichir
70g community tank tetras, angles, cory, pelcos, etc.
and I have a free 120g for gar, 50g for quarantine, and 200g for oscar. I have always been told buy the tank before you buy the fish.
Does anyone have experience in dropping off trouble fish at a store?I suggest setting up the larger aquarium's asap and rehoming problem fish if necessary. I also applaud you for having the larger aquariums already available.

Thanks for the help guys!Yeah I would follow that advice. You probably won’t get any money back, but maybe some store credit.
