Hey guys! So my Red Devil seems to have a problem, I noticed her with the shimmies last week after removing her cave that she could hardly fit under. As the week went on she stopped eating. So of course I did about a 30% to see if that would get her going again. It didn’t. A couple more days went by and no improvement on the eating and also her aggression seemed to diminish as well. So I did another 30% water change. Well today I noticed her skin seemed to be peeling, is it ich?

Sure looks like it. Turn your heat up hit the thank with some quick cure and salt. Do water changes and repeat the treatment every other day for no less than three treatments. It could take up to 5. You only kill one stage of the life cycle of ich so you need to keep treating to prevent it from reproducing. The fish may look better before it has been totally wiped out of your system. Do not transfer anything from this tank to another tank until this is cleaned up.

Here is a good article.

Especially in the 3rd pic, there also appears to be scarring from hole in the head disease, which is bacterial, coming from chronic stress.
The best cure for that is plenty of water changes, and regular cleaning of filters, to keep nitrate levels down.
What is your regular water change schedule
If nitrate in the tank has been high since the fish was a juvie (I consider anything over 10ppm high) this could be the chronic cause, that is, if there are no other stress factors.
Along with the ick treatment suggested above, daily vacuuming of the substrate , helps remove dormant ick cysts that will hatch out and try to reinfect the fish.

Looks like it based on the pictures. Increase the tank temp and add salt as was previously stated.

Ok so an update. I started treating her with ick medicine and have been doing daily water changes and medicine doses since posting on here. She seemed to get better, all the spots had disappeared but I continued treatment, well today I noticed the spots were back. Normal water change schedule is every 2 weeks. She hasn’t eaten in 3 weeks or so. I’ve tried everything from flakes to pellets to the garlic infused flakes that I use for my saltwater tank. What else can I do besides water changes, ich medication and aquarium salt. Btw the tank has been bumped to 86-89
