Lower Water Line

So because of the heatwave, I lowered the water level so the filter output (spray bar attachment) can agitate the surface to aerate the water a little bit more. I also have an incline CO2 diffuser hooked up. Since the the returning water isn't directly flowing into the tank, is CO2 still being absorb or should I shut it off until I top off my tank again?

Agreed the co2 is going to dissipate extremely fast.
