I believe that was because of the sudden fish additions of the sun catfish, bichir, and peacock eel.

But I had done the water change before I added them. Could the sudden change have done it? This is the first time I've ever had something like this happen to me.
I actually was planning to change the stock. Take out the angels, take out the leaf fish, and take out the bristlenose pleco. I have a few 55 gallon tanks I'm setting up so they were gonna go in those.
Sounds like you didn't quarantine at all, so you may hacve introduced something.

oddly enough yes. It's been running long enough then it's most certainly cycled but the nitrates remain at 0.
And yes I didn't quarantine the fish because I had never gotten a bad fish from petco before. I had relaxed with quarantining fish but now I'm gonna quarantine them all and never buy another fish from petco.

Ahh, torpedo barbs. A beautiful fish. I've also seen them at petco but for $9.99. Considering the fact that I've calmed down now and those fish are much more anywhere else I might just give them a second chance even though they've stolen so much from me now.

That's quite a bit excessive for quarantine wouldn't you agree? I'd think any disease would have shown itself by the end of the 2nd month.
