Synodontis cats are probably the best bet. An angelicus or decorus would do fine in a 75.

Black lancer cat and harlequin lancers are sone other options. Dont see them as often and theyre quite majestic.

Ornate pims are about the size you're talking about, but i think they do best in groups in larger tanks. Very active fish with long whiskers. I think a four lined pim is a better choice for a 75.

If youre going north american, bullheads and some of the madtoms reach that size.

Goldiella eques and raphaels are yet other options.

Will defenitley look out for one of them if they only get 12”, look like great cats
I would recommend talking to Tom maguire. He says he hasn't seen any in years. He was selling them for $100 a piece. I don't know how much shipping will be for you but it was $50 for me. I'd ask if he had any left and if he does jump on one, they are a truly unique fish and deserves some love.

If what Tom maguire says is true then yes. I trust him but I always take everything someone says that's a statement with a grain of sand so I'll get back to you on that question after 5 years lol.
