lighting is a 250 watt 10k halide, he has 2 wave makers on the corners of his tank so the flow is good, the nitrates are 0-10 ppm, the nitrite and ammonia is 0, his calcium and magnesium are a bit low which he is dosing with but an anenome wouldn't be affected by that, he has 1 frostbite clownfish, 1 starry blenny, 2 mandarins, one chromis, one lether jacket file fish, some fire shrimp, a pistol shrimp and watchman goby, some emerald and hermit crabs, one sea urchin, and a bunch of corals, I only know of the duncan coral, torch, cabbage coral, sea fan, and some polyps and mushroomsWould post ur complete water parameters including lighting/flow etc so someone can help you.
it is a green long tentacle anenome, his tank has been running for years, he used to have a pink bubble tip that split 3 times but it died years agoHow long has the tank been running? Most anenomes dont last if the tank is less than 9 months old. Also what kind of anenome is he trying? Some are far more picky than others.
5 ppm last test (a few weeks ago), no ammonia or nitrite, no phosphate issues, note he has a VERY VERY aggressive hosting clownfish, about 3 inches long, he knocks the anenome over sometimes, this is the 4th anenome that he is having trouble with, I am wondering if maybe the clownfish is annoying the anenome and killing it, note they do fine for about a month or so and then it starts to dieWhat are the water parameters?
calcium magnesium are fine, I believe he said his alkalinity is something like 9 or maybe 11, i dont remember for sureIf the big three are good maybe he should try a large bubble tip. They handle far more abuse
