so with the cooler temperatures just around the corner it’s time for me to start thinking about getting new heaters for my tanks.

It seems like every brand of heater I buy has condensation on the inside or takes very little time to build up condensation.

So what are your suggested and trusted brands?

Not in less than a few weeks unless I want to pay $30 shipping from the one or two sellers. And last time I looked they don't list the voltage. Not sure how well s 300w heater would do putting out 1200 watts.

not sure what you mean by 300w heater putting out 1200w. what size tank are you running.

not sure what you mean by 300w heater putting out 1200w.
Long story

If you take a resistive load like a heater that draws 300w at 120 volts that's a current of 2.5 amps(Power=volts*amps 300=120*current ) and 48 ohms (Volts=Current*Resistance, 120=2.5*R)

If you put 220v through it the resistance doesn't change but the voltage and current does. So we have Volts=Current*Resistance or 220=Current*48, current=4.6 amps. Now Power=volts*amps or Power= 220*4.6 or 1012 watts.

Using 120v and 240 as an approximation means that the resistive load will draw 4 times the power which is easier to do in my head and results in 1200w

Short story
If you put 220v through a device built for 120v it blows the $%*# up.
