snails lay eggs, but they won't hatch?

Maybe you're too fancy- try the same bladder snails (better size for your puffers) in just a big mayonnaise jar with a bit of lettuce and some grass clippings? Keep the top open, of course, and let 'em run. Once established add amphipods/scuds (if you can get them) to vary the puffer's diet.

i just put them in a jar and added in some algae wafers
