My thai silk Flowerhorn is really sick. he has white flakes on his skin whole bidy and even his head. check the picture. need help guys. i dont want to loose him

Best I can say is keep his water clean, sorry I can't be of more help.

Dang! How long has it been like this? Post ur water parameters tank setup info. Also tankamtes. Feeding and water change schedules.

Oodinium is the only disease I've ever seen where in the later stages skin & scales actually peel off. IMO, Copper based meds like Coppersafe or Cupramine are the best choice.

It does look like velevet. Copper isn’t a bad choice here.

its juat 3 to 4 days. no nitrate, minimal nitrites, change water once every 3 to 4 weeks , tankmates. i’ll try the cupperaafe and cupramine

IncreAse ur water changes to 50% Twice a week. Ur tank isn’t cycled. Is it still eating?

I agree treat for velvet. Also turn the lights off and cover the tank. this parasite uses photosynthesis to grow and survive

thanks for the tip, my fish is doing better. he can now swim better and the only problem is that his skin and scales are like burned and is pealing off. half his body peeling off including his head. he lost most of his fins but he can still swim. thanks Charney Charney and kno4te kno4te . i hope my fish will recover.
