Help has anyone used this product to protect the bottom glass of aquarium

Looking to put this plastic on the bottom glass to protect it from the rock I'm setting up a african cichlid tank
Looking for feed back on if it's safe to use
Its 100% waterproof
And doesn't create bacteria

go to home depot and purchase some lighting diffuser (egg crate) .......ive had heard it works well in absorbing shock and weight on your bottom glass when used under your substrate....stuff is cheap too!

Agree with the lighting diffuser. Its tried and tested, cheap, and can be cut to fit any tank shape.

I’ve lined the bottom of my glass tank with black acrylic for the exact same reason. For a cichlid tank I would use lighting diffuser as mentioned above.
