Tandanus Catfish Sick!!!

So this is my Tandanus Catfish, he currently resides in a 4ft Cichlid tank featuring 1 Venustus, 1 Firemouth, 1 Jack Dempsey, 1 Tiger Oscar, and 2 marbled peacocks, sun sun canister filter (403b maybe, came second hand), he is getting worse, I know he shouldnts be in this tank with these fish so I was thinking of putting him in my community tank (also 4ft, have a 6ft just needs to be delivered to my new house, they will eventually go in that) ANYWAYS what I wanted to know was if this was finrot or the other fish nipping at his fins, he does get bullied a little bit but he's a trooper!

It looks like advanced fin rot. Would move to a qt tank and provide clean water, nitrates less than 20ppm. Check ur water parameters daily. Triple sulfa to the tank and dip that fish in methylene blue.

Its most likely the cichlids, treat as above and remove him if u can.

Thanks for the replies guys, if I can't get my hands on triple sulfa would any other finrot treatment suffice? And when you say "dip that fish" do you literally mean pick him up with my hands and dip him in a bowl of that stuff?

Can use tetracycline, which is pretty availabe,or something mild. Yes taking the whole fish out and placing in a bucket. Other option is take a qtip soaked with MB and dab the areas with it.

Long term, gotta figure out what to do with the fish.

Holy crap. Yes that is fin rot. How long has this been going?? I personally don't think there's any chance of that fish surviving. But yes, treat as above and remove it from the cichlid tank.

I would go with the medicine bucket plan.

Not the worst I’ve seen but it has a fair chance. Surely if not dealt with soon it’ll be unlikely to recover.

Seen worse recover with some scars but recovered.
