I've just been crunching a few figures. 100 miles is about 165km. So 25:20 puts you at a steady 9 mins or so per km. That is pretty good over such a long distance.

I'm around 4.5 mins per km, but over laughably shorter distances than your ton. If I did that pace in a 100 miler I'd be dead at 15 km!!

Do you have a preconceived idea of where you need to be timewise per km and try and stick to that to achieve your finishing goal?
No sir, I just keep moving forward, hang on for dear life, and do my best to finish.

Yeah, I suppose with distances like that it's all about finishing. Goals, times and PB's take a back seat. I can't even imagine how much it takes out of you. Kudos to you.

I May not play soccer at the club I am playing at today. My new coach's wife has stage 4 cancer, which sucks. He said he may not coach this season to find a new job. I got offered at another club, but I don't necessarily like the club. I have a few makeup games left for COVID or rainy days. My knees are starting off with a bad sign. My Osgood-Schlatter decided to act up, and it hurts to walk right now :(

I'm new here but also want to be helpful. As I'm a bit distant from the fitness classes themselves, I'd like to share the story of how I was able to lose weight through dieting (it's not keto) without sport. I've already written in another thread that I love fishing and being outdoors a lot, I like to just watch nature. But without advice I couldn't put together a menu for the month. And I'm a diabetic. Sweets are death to me. I've already noticed the effects in the form of knee pain, weak muscle tone. Picked up an eating regimen through https://jordibhealthandfitness.com/ (don't consider it an advertisement, it might help a lot of people here). I lost 33lb (1.1oz) and my weight has stopped. Would like to know what to do next as I am facing insulin therapy instead of pills and sport.

Congrats on your weight loss. I don't know if anyone here can help you with your question to further your goals, it sounds as though you need specialist advice. I wish you luck though. Feel free to update this thread anytime with your progress.

Im slowly starting to exercise again after a nice little covid infection.
Its very hot and humid here at the moment, during the virus any movement would make me sweat instantly and it was out of the question to do any unnecessary movements. My average steps dropped from approx 12000 to 5000 and i felt half asleep all day.
Things improving now, i started by walking 20-30mins and was shattered afterwards then a few days later I did some body weight and kettlebell exercises and now have just done a very light weights session at the gym.
I can feel my chest is a lot clearer and not so knackered after the exercise so i guess thats a positive thing, one thing a lot of other people who have had covid told me is to completely rest until all symptoms are gone then start slowly. Apparently if you try to push through it the lingering effects last a lot longer.
Its my 47th birthday next month so will give myself a challenge to improve fitness and strength between now and then, doesnt matter what it is eg. walking, weights or even yoga, just increase the frequency and duration of the sessions between now and then. I was doing before well before i caught it so aim to get back to at least pre covid fitness level by then.

esoxlucius esoxlucius I tend to run in pretty normal length shorts and shirts. Here I am at the finish line last Sunday. I had to wear a jacket as it was only about 50F and it had been even colder that night.

My fitness regime for 2022 hasn't even got started yet due to the weather. That's the very worse thing about the UK climate at this time of year. Biking isn't nice at all. I've been on the odd run just to keep my cardio vascular from reverting back to couch potato mode.

One thing I will say though, I have seen a lot of bikers out and about, true die hards, protected up to the teeth with all the weatherproof gear. I have all the gear, just no inclination to spend an hour putting it on, lol.
