dazellis8057: iv noticed females can be a lot worse similar to convict cichlids its but the females also prefer hides as well it will be the females starting the problems in a community setting though the males just backs it up a small female alone will dominate most cichlids they get the attitude when there small male dovii tend to be shy and timid until there larger usually 12 to 15inch is when a switch flips in there head and they realize what they are females get it around 5/6inches
