Getting out of the hobby sale - nyc - pickup

same as above, I would give you the synodontis for free if you are willing to come pick it up. My main priority is to empty out my tanks so I can decommission them and move them out of my current apartment. If anything, I think it would be fair to ask for money for the rarer fish I have, like...

I'd give you the senegal for free if you would be willing to come pick it up. I would just be happy to find it a good home, so I don't have to resort to giving it to a lfs. pm me

    Excited

One of the smaller frogfish could probably live in a 55. I would love to keep one personally

    75 Gallon Ideas

Fire eel or black ghost knife are interesting, striking fish that might be good in a 75 for a while, perhaps? They would eventually outgrow it though I suppose.

Whats your favorite type of fish and why!?

My favorite species would be electric catfish and enchelycore morays. I'm also a very big fan of banjo catfishes.

Whats your favorite type of fish and why!?

My favorite type of fish (in terms of lifestyle) are ambush predators - particularly benthic and sedentary ambush predators. This is because they often have interestic features and behavior, like chaca chacas, toadfish, anglerfish, and morays. I'm also a fan of the pike family, which are ambush...

Need a little help with choosing the correct fishing rods.

Honestly, ugly stiks are the bomb. As far as action and length and so on, it depends on what sort of fishing you want to do with it. Fast action is better for sensitivity and control, which is important for jigging or baitfishing without a bobber (like catfishing), bait or lure placement and...

    Huge tanks with tiny fish

In a way, it's a more extravagant thing to do than having a big tank with big fish, because you could house any of those fish in a much smaller tank, but you just have to ball out haha. I totally understand why it's not commonly done, but I would love to see a tank with 40 kuhli loaches for example

    Huge tanks with tiny fish

I love this concept. Sure, a monster tank with a handful of monster fish is awesome. But, to me, maybe not as awesome as a huge tank with hundreds of small fish of various kinds occupying different tank zones and interacting on a large and complex scale. Classic example would be a large...

    GATF vs Alligator Gar

From what I've read, most atfs in tanks don't reach a large size because they die for various reasons before that happens. In particular, they are skittish and often end up breaking their backs or otherwise injuring themselves by colliding with the glass. They might also suffer from "sudden...

    GATF vs Alligator Gar

Setting aside the whole size debate, op says he wants a hardy fish. ATFs are not hardy. Just pointing that out.
