    I had a similar vision, using 2x55g & a 47g bow. I never did it, but my last thought on it was to just put them side-by-side & create aqua bridges Good Luck with this one

    Also, I would put a wall between the two bottom windows, If needed you could drain the tank and leave once side full to make repairs without removing the fish. This would also supply support "front to Back"

    Does an overflow have to be limited to surface skimming?

    I made this & used iit for a while, but changed over to the standard overflow you see al over MFK Worked perfectly, Post #3 wont work, the Green T breaks the system, you could mod mine to not put the external overflow inside the tube...
