Regarding salt use, I use it on all smaller clowns as I found most have ich when purchased from a local pet chain, with no problems at all. The clowns have never developed ich this way. Raising the temps into the eighties helps too, but it takes too long and is not a guaranteed fix as there...

I have mine with rays, they are good for "dither fish" as well as for cleaning up scraps. Get a bigger group for the future as well as hiding spaces and they will grow well. Other tank mates are silver dollars and danios.

I don't think Hystrix (or any ray) like the "larger fish" around them, at least in my tanks. I have noticed since a "tig" has gotten larger in my tanks 24"+, I have noticed more hiding among the driftwood of my rays. Dither fish has helped (danios and silver dollars) and every month of so I...
